From broadcast and cable television to movies, YouTube, Hulu and satellite radio, video and audio often documents the story of our lives. While there is a tremendous amount of information out there, the experiences, faces and voices of gender non-conforming and transgender children and youth remain largely in the shadows.
Here, you will find a variety of video and audio files related to those experiences, voices and lives. You will hear from parents and professionals, talk show hosts, gender experts and the occasional proponent of negativity towards these kids and transgender people in general. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to hear from the children and youth themselves.
For parents of gender non-conforming or transgender children and youth, we hope this information will provide you with a quiet private moment in which to hear from others in similar situations to yours. To reflect on, absorb and embrace in a positive way the experience your child and your family are having.
