At TransActive Gender Center we make every effort to engage individuals and organizations in educational opportunities that will lead to increased affirmation of transgender and gender diverse children and youth. When educational outreach and otherwise reasonable requests are insufficient to ensure that children, youth and their families are treated respectfully or enjoying the rights they are entitled to, enhanced advocacy engagement may be necessary.
The TransActive Gender Center Advocacy Project offers grass-roots, non-legal representation and support to gender diverse children and youth age 23-and-under and their families.
Our staff will meet with you to develop and propose an 'Action Plan' based upon the details you provide. We will then, with your approval, engage organizations, groups or individuals you believe are infringing on your rights or the rights of your child and family with respect to their gender identity or gender expression.
