Many families wonder if they are the only ones going through the process of recognizing, accepting and supporting the unique needs of a child who does not experience their gender identity in a way that conforms to social expectations or stereotypes.
The answer is NO, they aren't.
FreeZone provides an opportunity for parents, caregivers and, most importantly, kids to meet each other and just have fun. It's also a great opportunity for the brothers and sisters of gender diverse kids to meet and know they are not alone in having a transgender or gender diverse sibling.
Past events have included trips to OMSI, the Oregon Children's Theatre, and the Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie's Island.
All families, caregivers and friends are welcome to attend... we hope to see you at the next FreeZone!
